Magical Blogorail Red...Staying Cool at Disney

Welcome to those of you joining me from My Dreams of Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

My family usually vacations during the Summer, and you can be sure that long days in the Walt Disney World Parks can get really HOT!!  So, what do we do to cool off when temps are approaching 100?
Our favorite cool treats:

  • Mickey Bar
  • Anything from The Plaza
  • Kitchen Sink from Beaches & Cream

Duck into a "Cool" attraction:

  • Peter Pan's Flight
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Space Mountain
  • Soarin'
  • Maelstrom
  • Disney: One Man's Dream

Take a break from the parks and jump into a pool. Disney does a wonderful job of designing the recreational areas of the resorts, especially the pools.  Go enjoy them during the hottest part of the day! Don't forget you can also visit Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach as well!!

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Colorado Mountain Mom.

Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:
2nd Stop ~ Disney Donna Kay (You are here)
4th Stop ~ A World View
Final Stop ~ The Magical Mouse Pad

  1. We've never had enough time at Disney to feel we could spend time at the water parks. I hear they are amazing, maybe we'll have to work that in on a hot Disney day sometime. Great suggestions!

  2. Ice cream. The number one "cool" solution on any day. And the inside attractions take the edge off and are necessity during most months of the year if you want to survive the heat on a full day at the park.

  3. I can't believe we're gearing up for the Orlando "Dog Days of Summer". Already!! I find myself daydreaming about the Disney Resort pools- all year 'round! Thanks for sharing your favorites Donna.
