Magical Blogorail - Disney Holiday Traditions

Welcome to those of you joining me from Focused On The Magic and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.

It wouldn't be Christmas at the Anderson's without our Disney Christmas tree.  It was started 20 years ago when Ashley was just 4 years old.  I still use some of the original ornaments, but some have also moved on to Kentucky with Ashley, Eric and Lexi.  It's time for us to start a collection for Lexi when she grows up so that the tradition can live on for another generation. Here are just a few random shots of ornaments on this year's tree.

Another family tradition for us is watching Disney Christmas movies. My personal two favorites are Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas and Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas.  Of course, you have to have hot chocolate from your favorite Disney mug while you watch.

Last, but not least presents are wrapped in Disney paper.  Here are a couple under the tree this year.

I would love to hear all of your Disney Christmas traditions, just leave a comment below.

Thank you for joining Magical Blogorail Orange this month. Our next loop will be Tuesday, January 17th with an all new theme. Keep checking in with our blogs in between loops to keep up to date with our Disney info, photos and stories. If you are looking for more Disney magic, you can make your way over to The Magical Blogorail website to see all our members and their blogs, as well as all our previous loops.

Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail Loop should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:

1st Stop ~ Disney on Wheels
Final Stop ~ Disney Donna Kay

Merry Christmas!!
Donna Kay

  1. Thanks for swapping loops with me this month, Donna Kay! Love the ornaments on your tree. We always have some Disney paper to wrap gifts in too. In fact, this year, Ian's are wrapped in Mickey paper, Gracie's in Tinkerbell, and Ashley's in Disney princesses. :)

  2. No problem at all Heidi! Wrapping everyone's gifts in different paper is a great idea! I hadn't thought of that!!

  3. Great traditions, Donna Kay! I love your Mickey ball! Wrapping everyone's gifts in a different paper has become a family tradition for us too. Now if they just made Grumpy paper for DH;)

  4. Thanks Deb!! I started getting more of the Mickey Icon ornaments a few years ago, my husband likes those best (helps him tolerate my Disney tree a little better). If you find Grumpy paper let me know, I could use some for my DH too...

  5. Great traditions! We always watch The Muppets Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve with hot chocolate. :)

  6. I have that same Scrooge McDuck ornament and the Sleeping Beauty one! We have a Disney tree too. I have collected so many ornaments over the years, that I have had to upgrade to a 7.5 tree just for Disney and 9.5 foot tree for my "regular" ornaments. Santa also wraps the kids' gifts in Disney paper. Each child gets their own pattern. It is so fun to see their faces when they see all the Disney gifts under the tree! :-)

  7. I look forward to carrying on the tradition with Lexi-Lou! I need to start collecting more - haha!

  8. Donna- I am very impressed that you let your kids take the treasured ornaments out of THE HOUSE!! I may need some serious therapy before I can "let go"! :D
