Christmas Tip - Candy Canes

Nothing says Christmas like candy canes.  The red and white stripped candy is synonymous with the holiday season, but do you know the origin of candy canes?

Candy canes were all white when they were first made in the 17th century by a choirmaster from the Cologne Cathedral in Germany.  He bent the hard sugar candy to represent a Shepard's cane and they were given to young children to keep them occupied during the nativity service.

We all have lots of them around the house this time of year, so I thought I would show you some new ways to use them. Just click on the names for a hyperlink to how to create them.

I am sure you have an idea or two here you can use to get rid of  those extra candy canes lying around.  Let me know if you have any great ideas for using candy canes.

Merry Christmas!!
