Magical Blogorail Red - A Day in the Park with Maleficent

Welcome to those of you joining me from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

I am generally a very quiet person while I'm at Walt Disney World.  I tend to visit attractions that are rather tame where I am "watcher" more than a "doer".  When the topic of this month's loop was presented I knew right away I wanted to explore my darker, more adventurous side.  Maleficent was the first thing that popped into my head.  I wonder what kind of mischief she could get us into...

The first perk - I think everyone would just get out of our way and we could go where ever we wanted with no waiting,  Actually, if they didn't move for her I would imagine Maleficent would take care of them with a wave of her hand.  Better than a Magic Band!! And can you imagine the stories she could tell as you walk around the park, she probably knows all kinds of dirt on Hook, the Evil Queen and Lady Tremaine.

I have never ridden the Tower of Terror, and I just know she be fabulous to ride it with!  Sure she would be bored in the queue and with the Twilight Zone story, but she could make the ride unforgettable not only for me, but for everyone aboard our elevator.  Who could resist buying the picture taken during the drop?  I am sure I would be scared out of my mind, but I envision her as almost bored by this quaint little ride, sure that she could have done much better.

A favorite attraction of mine is The Haunted Mansion, she would be delightful there!  I am sure it would be fabulous as she shared stories about the tombstones in the queue and how she may have even been responsible for a few of the 999 Happy Haunts there.

I am quite sure she would always be on the look out for Aurora, and since I haven't met her in the park yet that would definitely be a welcome bonus.  Of course, I hope that Aurora wouldn't hold that against me.
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is The Disney Point.

Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:

  1. How fun! I think the best perk of touring with Maleficent would be how everyone gets out of your way or else she'd poof them away. Great post!

  2. I will tell you, I don't think ANYBODY would get in your way! And yes, she'd whip you into shape - you would be on a very strict schedule and there would be NO shying away from scary attractions!

  7. I had a feeling you would choose a villain. She's an excellent choice and definitely comes with a lot of perk. I too haven't been on ToT (and probably never will) but at least you're thinking about it.

    1. Lisa, I have a new found appreciation for villians. After my party I may be all about princesses. I really do plan to find the courage to ride on my next trip. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

  8. I love it. You are right - she would be better than a Magic Band. And I am slightly intrigued you have a dark side.

    1. LOL Mary - I don't know that I would call it a "dark side" just a new found interest. But I would love to meet her in the parks, maybe I need to go to MNSSHP...

  10. Great choice!! :D I definitely think you're right about not having to wait in line, but as I see in Mom's comment, I may be too scared to hang out with her for the whole day!

  14. I just love your creative side Donna- can you imagine the high octane touring you could do with Maleficent as your guide?? You have me wondering- where would she eat? Would those flowing robes get caught in the rides? Sounds like a follow-up post is in order! ;)
