Crafty Sunday...Damask Mickey Topiary

I have officially declared Sunday my craft day.   I have tons of craft supplies around the house but haven't actually made anything in ages, it's definitely time to create.

I have fallen in love with Damask Mickey Mouses lately, you can find my Damask Mickey Candle from last week here.  Today I am sharing my Damask Mickey Topiary.  Personally, I don't care for the Mickey icons on dowels, so the base for mine here is one of my bracelets.

You could use this as a centerpiece at a party or as decor in a little girl's room.  A couple of  tips if you are making a Mickey topiary.  I painted mine with a sponge brush and water based craft paint, you need at least 3 coats of paint.  The "pearls" are corsage pins, be patient when arranging them and luckily the Styrofoam is very forgiving and doesn't show the holes when you move the pins around.  It is definitely front heavy, once you find the perfect base I would recommend gluing it down.

Hope you like him, let me know if you would like a tutorial.
