Did You Know...July 30th

July 30th was a busy day for fans of Disney cartoons!! Here are three that made their debut on July 30th.  If you are a Disney history buff, I am sure you will recognize Flowers and Trees, and while you may not remember the Goofy and Donald Duck cartoons listed below, you are sure to recognize these two Disney Icons.

1932
Disney's first Technicolor cartoon, Flowers and Trees premieres at Grauman's Chinese Theater.  This cartoon is a milestone in Disney history, it wins the first ever Academy Award for Best Cartoon Sort Subject.

1942
Goofy stars in Victory Vehicles, a cartoon about different modes of transportation for wartime travel.  This short was animated by Ward Kimball, a true Disney Legend.

1948
The Trial of Donald Duck is released.  This will be the last cartoon directed by Jack King, who retired in 1949.

Hopefully these three Disney Cartoon Shorts brought a smile to your day!!  I promise to have some more soon.  :)

Have a Magical Day!!
Donna Kay
