Welcome to those of you joining me from Growing Up Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
Every trip to Walt Disney World is a celebration for all of us Disney Fanatics, isn't it?
Our first trip to Walt Disney World was in January of 2003, and ironically we were there during the one family members birthday who is not exactly a huge Disney Fan...my husband. Trust me, Mike wasn't going to walk around the Happiest Place On Earth with a "It's My Birthday" button on.
I wasn't sure what to do to make his birthday special without drawing unwanted attention. Early on the morning of the 19th Ashley, Dakota & I stopped by the front desk of the Wilderness Lodge and asked them what we could do. The desk clerk gave us the Birthday Pin with a smile and told us she would see what she could do.
We had a great day in the Magic Kingdom and returned to our room with balloons, an autographed picture of Mickey, and signed birthday card waiting on the bed for our birthday boy. Even Mike had to smile when he saw it in the room. To say I was thrilled with the signed Birthday card is an understatement, I think it was my favorite souvenir from the trip.
I know a lot more about what Disney has available for celebrations, but nothing will beat that first trip when we got the unexpected Birthday surprise in our room. Even Mike was a little more of a Disney fan than when we arrived.
Thank you for joining Magical Blogorail Red this month. We will be back March 16th with an all new theme. Keep checking in with our blogs in between loops to keep up to date with our Disney info, photos and stories.
