Disney Party Board - Princess and the Frog

In honor of  Fat Tuesday we have decided to bring you a great Princess and the Frog party straight from N'awlins!!! The Princess and the Frog really captures the beauty of that historic city, and we felt the need to utilize all aspects of it in our party board.  Don't forget your beads and masks, as they're a MUST! Our color pallet this week focuses on those beautiful Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold, and green. You can display lanterns or poms if this is an indoor affair.

As far as food goes, you can really adventure out into the "French Quarter." Makes some Beignets or French toast. There's a link to a Paula Dean recipe below the board. You could also make some jambalaya or another creole dish.

As far as the fun activities, have the kiddo's decorate masks. There's also a creative jar tutorial below our board to commemorate Ray, our favorite lightining bug! Were you not heartbroken in the movie when he went to be with his Evangeline?!

Princess and the Frog Party Board

  1. Mardi Gras Beads Who doesn't love Mardi Gras beads? They make a fun party favor and decoration.
  2. Place Setting Such a cute and simple place setting, I especially love the Tiana Napkin ring.
  3. Mardi Gras Masks Have the kids make their own Mardi Gras Mask.  Here is a great tutorial.
  4. Princess and the Frog Cupcakes  You can't have a party these days without cupcakes, these frogs are really cute but the options are limitless.  You can always have coordinating wrappers and cupcake toppers.
  5. Tiana & Naveen Cake  How gorgeous is this cake? Love the Bayou theme with the Lily pads.
  6. Tiana Tutu This is a great hand made tutu for the birthday girl.  Love the lace up back.
  7. Lanterns These lanterns are hung over the welcome table for the party. They are a nice unexpected touch.
  8. Invitation The invitation options seem limitless, you are sure to find one that suits you taste.
  9. Birthday Banner Purple and green are the perfect color combo for this party. Love this personalized birthday banner as a backdrop for the food table.
  10. Faux Lightning Bug Jar Don't you love Ray!! This lightning bug jar is the perfect finishing touch to your table. If you are a DIY person, there is a tutorial below for making your own Lighting Bug Jars.
  11. Kisses - Like do many wonderful Disney movies, a kiss is a very important part of the story.  Be sure to have plenty of kisses on hand to make your guests wishes come true.
  12. Frog Cookies I love decorated sugar cookies, they are another great party favor or serve as both decoration and great tasting food.
  13. French Quarter Beignets If you've ever been to N'awlins you know that it's mandatory to have Beignets from Cafe Du Monde. For those of us who don't live in the New Orleans area, here is a great recipe from the Queen of Southern Cooking - Paula Deen.
  14. Table decor Have fun with feathers for centerpieces on your table set up.
  15. Frog Cups I love the idea of putting a label on the drinking cup, you see them on bottled water all the time, this is a unique idea.
  16. Kissing Frogs This is such a cute centerpiece. A great reminder of the scene from the movie too!!
  17. Princess and the Frog Sound Track The perfect background music for this party, don't you think?
  18. Frog Eggs Such a cute idea using Easter Egg Candy as Frog Eggs!!
