Magical Blogorail Red - A Romantic Day Outside of the Parks

Welcome to those of you joining me from Growing Up Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.

The one thing Mike & I have never done is take a vacation without the kids.  So as I dream of being at Walt Disney World and spending a day outside of the parks, I will also dream that it’s a romantic vacation alone with my husband…

First of all, we would definitely sleep in!! I always make early breakfast reservations at Walt Disney World, so Mike would be thrilled if the alarm didn’t go off at 6:00.  Since we would be staying at the Yacht Club,  we would just walk over to the boardwalk and pick up a fabulous Cinnamon Roll at the Boardwalk Bakery to start the day.

Then it’s time for some fun on the water-parasailing at Sammy Duvall’s!! And maybe try tubing together.

After a quick shower and change it’s off to the Grand Floridian Café for lunch.  Of course, we would have to share the dessert sampler for two YUM!!

Tiramisù
Chocolate-Hazelnut Mousse Cake
Key Lime Tart
Lemon Cheesecake

Now it’s definitely time for some lounging by the pool!  As great as StormAlong Bay is, we would opt for the quiet pool, it’s never crowded and much more relaxing.

Then we get dressed up for a change for our romantic evening, and to start it’s a carriage ride at Port Orleans followed by a late dinner for two at California Grill, complete with a view of the fireworks over Cinderella Castle.

Finally we get back to our room, where the From Mickey and Minnie With Love room celebration is waiting for us.  Then, well let’s just say we will cuddle for the rest of the evening…

Thank you for joining Magical Blogorail Red this month. We will be back November 18th with an all new theme. 1. What a great dream for a romantic day for two at Disney! We've never gone without the kids either. Our next trip, to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we'll be taking the kids as well. LOL

  2. Heidi, the only reason I may ever get to go alone with Mike is because our oldest is married and the youngest is a freshman in high school, maybe while he's at college...probably not though. But we can all dream!!

  3. That sounds perfect to me! We are big fans of California Grill. Just being there and overlooking the Castle is so romantic. Your husband sounds like mine, he would love to be able to sleep in at Disney! :-) Maybe we need to plan a solo trip too!
